Chief Accountant with fluent Ukrainian

Deloitte is seeking a Chief Accountant to join the Finance team based in Ukraine, Kyiv.

🟢 The role will involve:

• Overseeing the accounting team in Ukraine
• Monitoring correctness and accuracy of Ukrainian accounting across all areas of bookkeeping
• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS, reports on controlled transactions and annual management reports
• Review of Ukrainian VAT returns, preparation of income tax returns
• Monitoring and effective implementation of tax regulations related to company activity
• Payroll process supervision and participation in the payroll system implementation project
• Working in SAP ERP
• Preparation and submission of information on the services provided to the Audit Public Oversight Body
• Partnering other departments in the firm on financial matters, liaising with auditors, banks, tax offices and other public bodies in area of statutory accounting and tax matters
• Facilitation of examinations conducted by Tax and other government authorities

🎯 Requirements:

• Ukrainian native speaker.
• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a Chief Accountant in Ukrainian company rendering services.
• Knowledge of IFRS, Ukrainian GAAP and tax regulations (incl. VAT, CIT, PIT, WHT, Soc.Security, other taxes and public dues).
• Understanding of transfer pricing regulations.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP will be an advantage.
• Intermediate or higher level of English.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in effective talents management.
